‘Survivor: Islands of the Idols’ is the 39th season of ‘Survivor,’ premiering on Sept. 25, 2019. The show features 20 castaways who are playing the game of ‘Survivor’ for the very first time. However, two former ‘Survivor’ champions, Rob Mariano and Sandra Diaz-Twine, will also appear on the show. Rob and Sandra will be living on an island of their own, where they’ll be forced to battle the elements and live just like the other ‘Survivor’ contestants. They will not compete in challenges or for the $1 million prize. Rather, they will be available as mentors to the players who are competing for the very first time.
