‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ has premiered on Prime Video, bringing a ‘Lord of the Rings’ story to television for the first time ever.
The show is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings.’ The series will travel back ‘to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness.’
The Prime Video series begins in a time of ‘relative peace’ and will feature an ensemble of new and familiar faces. The show has already been renewed for season 2 and production is already in the works. See photos of the epic series in our gallery now.
